I've read plenty of suggestions of when to dry hop, when to cold crash, when to keg, etc, but I'm having trouble putting it all together. I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice based on my specific set up. I'm new to brewing and even newer to kegging so any help is much appreciated.
I have a temperature controlled fermentation chamber (old refrigerator) and a keezer with 2 kegs. In my fermenter (which is a plastic bucket style with a spigot. I have been fermenting a pale ale with US-05 yeast at about 65°F for the past 5 days. Ideally I'd like to get this in to the keg as soon as I can so I can get another brew going. I'm planning to dry hop with Galaxy flowers.
What should my process be from here? When should I add the flowers, and to which vessel? Should I cold crash in the primary or rack it to the keg and throw it in the keezer, thus freeing up my fridge for another brew? Can I dry hop in the keg and leave them in there (ie. in a weighted bag)? When can I start carbonating the keg?
