[Question] Long Hots in olive oil AskCulinary

I wasn't sure which sub to ask this question in because it's not really canning but; I charred and peeled long hots today and put them in a mason jar and filled it to the top with olive oil and added a garlic clove. How long will they last in the refrigerator? And also, how long will the oil last, after the peppers are gone, before going rancid? I think the olive oil will have great flavor once I am finished eating them and I think it will work very well in some dishes or even just to dip bread in. Any advice would be really appreciated.
