TIFU by not realizing that glass is sharp. tifu

Obligatory "This fuck up didn't take place today".

There I was, just starting to make another jelly sandwich (no peanut butter because I am allergic to it). Then I opened my refrigerator and no jelly. Great. So, I went to my basement to get jelly and the only one I bought was a 2-pack jelly jars. They were held together with some seemingly hard plastic, so I held up the two jelly jars and cut the plastic.

It's too bad I forgot how gravity works, because one of the jelly jars I was not holding fell. I got a paper towels and picked up most of the broken glass and jelly. There was still some broken glass left so I thought, "Hey, if I could pick up the glass with a paper towel without cuting my hands, that means it must be okay to do it with my bare hands, right?". I was wrong. I cut my right hand in two places. Cue 14 attempts at trying to use a band-aid correctly.

TL;DR: I cut my right hand after trying to pick up broken glass because I wanted to make a jelly sandwich.
