Refrigerating New Starter Sourdough

I just started a starter a few days ago and it already has a bunch of activity. Unfortunately I need to travel this weekend, should I put the less than a week old starter in the refrigerator and continue to feed when I'm back? Or would it be fine if I leave it out, skipping a two feedings (or one if I feed at night when I get back).
