looking to start making a weeks worth of meals every sunday and have some questions/want you to dump any tips you have. MealPrepSunday

im only 19, and i pretty much only eat home cooked meals when i visit my grandparents, or when my girlfriend and i are responsible enough to get our asses to the grocery store instead of just buying fast food or frozen pizzas. and so while i love to cook i have done so seldomly over the past two years. lately I've really been wanting to cut down on the amount of money i spend on food, and be healthier.

My biggest questions are:

  • what foods spoil easily and should be avoided?
  • about how often do you guys switch up your weekly meals? or can you eat the same stuff each week for a couple months without getting sick of it?
  • are there any cheap reusable containers i could store my food in, then safely heat up in the oven rather than using a microwave?
  • since i live with roommates how can i cut down on space in my refrigerator/should i maybe invest in a minifridge to cut down on some space?
  • would a $250/mo budget be sufficient?

any help answering those would be the bomb.com, and if anyone wants to share any favorite recipes, tips or anything that would be phenomenal!
