Hey all-
Have been looking for an easy-ish solution to this problem:
I keep my plastic storage containers on top of the refrigerator. The fridge is next to the stove. I fry a lot, so a layer of grime builds up on the lids. So I have to wash them every time before I use them (and I've washed them already once before I put them up there of course.) Looking for some way to protect or cover them to keep the grime off.
Goal: To be able to just grab and use the containers without having to wash them again.
Difficulty: They have to stay where they are. (I can't move them somewhere else. I can't stop cooking. (Yes, also with oil, lol...). Looking for something not too expansive in labor or cost (low time and money). I want to be able to just reach, grab, pull and use (ie- no cabinets with doors that have to be opened. I'm in and out of there a lot.)
I've thought of just some light material covering them on four posts. Like a 'roof'. But that seems a challenge- material for roof, stabalizing the posts, etc. I've thought of a 'lean-to' over them... same issues.
Project seems against r/diy posting rules.
Any help?

Thanks in advance!
