Should I fix the refrigerator water or use a different filter? HomeImprovement

Moved into a condo recently, the water dispenser on the fridge hasn't worked. All the methods of troubleshooting it seem like a hassle. The water pressure in the place does seem kindof weak, especially on the faucets. Idk if a valve is busted, or the line is frozen somewhere, etc.

I want to swap my Brita pitcher for something better, considering either fixing the refrigerator water, buying a countertop solid block carbon filter, buying under counter multistage filter, or a combination.

I don't have experience with any of this, thoughts? Should I just leave the refrigerator alone and do one of the other filtration options?
