I have a single 18" base cabinet going next to the refrigerator in a tiny attic apartment. Since the cabinet would have to be removed in order to service or replace the refrigerator I would like to come up with a semi-permanent solution that keeps the cabinet from wobbling around/toppling over etc... but doesn't require me to unscrew it from the studs to move it.
So far, the best option seems to be french cleats, like seen in this picture. Is this the best way to approach the issue? I should also note that I'll be installing a floating plank floor in this kitchen. Typically, you would not install this type of flooring under any cabinets, but since this one won't be screwed tight to a stud I'm thinking it would be ok. Any one disagree?
