Advice requested for first time home buyer: Recently purchased a home in Los Angeles and the seller 'bait and switch'ed' the refrigerator RealEstate

Hi there. My wife and I recently purchased a home in Los Angeles and the time of the final walk through, the refrigerator that was originally there, was missing. Turns out the seller's agent (SA) had it removed for some unknown reason. Our agent was finally able to get in touch with the SA after a couple threats, and the SA finally brought it back a few days later as we closed on the home. 2 days later, we find that the water dispenser is not working so we call our agent. She says she's "not contractually obligated to do anything" but will advise us. So she sends her handyman while we contact our Home Warranty provider and they send a fridge repairman. Both said there is damage to the water tubes from rats and there has been water leaking so there is minor water damage. We then realize this is not the fridge that we originally saw. Comparing the Redfin picture and the current fridge we see that both the logo in the top right corner and the water dispenser are different. Sent the picture to our agent and now she wants to send us cash and it seems like she doesn't want to address it with the SA. Do we take the cash or pursue legal action?

TL;DR After purchasing a home, realized that the fridge was replaced with a broken one. Our agent does not want to take it up with the Seller's agent and has offered to give us cash instead.
