Today would be my dad's 70th birthday. What bittersweet memories do you have? CasualConversation

Here's his picture: http://ift.tt/1UEIiQg

This picture was from the mid-late 2000s, and he died almost two years ago. He had MS and was a smoker, which probably was what did him in.

I still have a picture from when I was little of when he took me to Take Your Child to Work Day. I was hugging him. Well, more like his waist, since I was so little. He was a Vietnam Vet working for the Department of Veteran's affairs.

I'm not sure what my fondest memory of him was. He was always around, even though my grandparents raises me, and I still remember a lot of the quirks and habits he used to have. The way he said "Hullo!" when he walked in the door. The way he always put his extra large Pepsi cup from Wawa on top of the refrigerator. The fact that he visited almost every day.

I miss him.

I know a lot of people have lost one or both of their parents. I know that, in every other aspect of my life, I'm one of the luckiest people I know. But I would give back a lot of I could see him again.

Sorry for the rant. Tell me about your bittersweet memories. There are a lot of people on /r/CasualConversation. Hopefully, we can provide some support :-)
