Well here is a quick, easy top sirloin steak that first gets dinner ready in a hurry and also allows for the steak and salsa to be made the night before.
Ingredients
Salsa
- 1 half onion, chopped
- 1/2 -1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- red/yellow small tomatoes
- 1/2 lime juice
- 1-2 Tbsp. cilantro
- 1 tsp. favorite chili sauce
- 1/2 cup (or more to your taste) olive oil
Steak
- 1 top sirloin steak
- 1-2 cloves garlic, grated
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. sherry wine
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. fresh thyme
- 1⁄4 tsp. pepper
- 1⁄4 tsp. salt
Directions
Combine all the salsa ingredients in a large bowl and set aside in a refrigerator overnight.
In a large plastic container or plastic bag, place the steak.
In a small bowl, whisk together all the remaining ingredients. Pour over steaks; turn to coat evenly. Chill for at least 6 hours and turn occasionally to redistribute marinade.
When ready, grill for about 3-5 minutes on each side, top with salsa and your ready to serve.
(You can also use a grill pan and broiler, if necessary.)
