So, to be safe, I'm stocking up on a few mods and juices that I like... And stocking up on diy stuff to hold me over the next couple years, just in case.
I've ran through the search function a bit... And I've deduced that nicotine base should be PG and should be stored in freezer. But, should I immediately transfer the nic into smaller (30ml Amber glass) bottles then freeze, instead of one large bottle and reopening every time I need to get some? And should I keep the bottle I'm working with in the fridge? Can I get 2+ years storing this way?
Also, should pg and vg bases be frozen/refrigerated in the same manor? Is amber glass bottles necessary for just the bases? I don't go through much ejuice on a daily basis... Maybe 3-5ml a day. So I think a gallon would last a good long while. Plus, I'm not in control of the air conditioning in my household... So I don't think I trust room temp in summer.
Nextly, flavor concentrates... I just read conflicting things. Room temp can be fine, refrigerating can be fine. But the refrigerator might crystallize some concentrates like ethyl maltol? I'm probably going to be getting quite a bit of flavors on my first order because I'm worried about the Flavors getting FDA'd or getting sold out due to people resorting to diy... So, freeze? Refrigerate? Room temp for specific ones, refrigerate the rest? Amber glass bottles? Can I get a 2+ years of good flavor concentrates storing properly?
Lastly, specific juices I buy right now that I like....if I'm stocking up to have last an extended amount of time, should I get it without nicotine? And freeze or refrigerate the majority till needed? Adding the nicotine myself as I go? Anything else I can do specifically to make these premixed 0mg nic juices last as long as possible?
- TLDR - Is freezing and/or refrigerating in amber glass bottles the best way to get Nicotine Base, PG/VG Bases, Flavor Concentrates and 0mg vendor juices to last 2+ years with minimal to no degradation? Should I use the inert gas on anything else besides the nicotine base for long term storage?
---I realize these questions have been asked a lot, and will probably be getting asked a lot more in the coming months... But I have so many and after searching the sub... I just want some verification before I start buying everything. Thanks in advance and sorry for pissing off those of you who will be bothered by my questions.
