Keg question! Homebrewing

I was wondering about kegging without a fridge. I don't have a lot of room for a second fridge and using my current refrigerator is not an option for a keg. Do you think it's possible to pressurize a keg and let it soak in an ice bath? I was thinking, If I were to turn the pressure up to 60 psi, shake the beer, and let it sit in an ice bath, would the carbonation stick? Afterwards I could fill growlers or something. What do you think?
