I know this is oddly specific. I have a cabinet that currently sits over the refrigerator. The cabinet measures 36" wide x 14" high x 12" deep. I'm redoing my kitchen flooring, and replacing the cabinets to the right of the refrigerator with a pantry, which is 24" deep. I want to make the cabinet over the fridge sit flush with the pantry so it will look better and be more accessible from in front of the fridge. I've got some matching white pressboard to mask the exposed side to the left of the fridge, to give the appearance of a 24" deep cabinet.
So now, what i'm looking for is a design that would allow me to mount this 14" x 36" x 12" cabinet, 12 inches from the wall. I have two studs within that 36" width to work with, and I can connect the front of the over-the-fridge cabinet to the front of the pantry to take on some of the weight. That said, I'm a bit squeamish about attaching a fairly heavy cabinet 12 inches from the wall without getting some input from some more advanced DIYers...
Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
