Our refrigerator has two separate paddles, one for ice and one for water, but when you press either one, the water starts dispensing.
Up until today, the icemaker wasn't working, but I replaced that and it started making ice again, but it still doesn't come out when you press the paddle for ice.
I was able to get the dispenser taken apart and I don't think this is a mechanical problem. The appropriate button seems to be getting pressed when you push the paddle in, but the water comes out. Could there be some sort of short that I can't see? I'm not sure what to look for at this point.
