I recently moved and my house doesn't have a dishwasher. Before I can buy one, I have a few questions. I will be placing the dishwasher between a stove and refrigerator....NOT in cabinets like intended. Wiring and plumbing won't be an issue.

Since this will be going between a stove and refrigerator, is buying a built-in dishwasher a viable option?

If I do buy a built-in model, would noise be a big issue since it won't truly be built in? Would something like a 53db dishwasher actually be 100db since it won't have kitchen cabinets to "dampen" the sound?

Could I maybe enclose the sides and back myself with some decent fiberboard and sound dampening material like Dynamat?
I appreciate any positive/helpful feedback you guys can provide.
