I've been trying to find ways to cool my place down in the unbearable heat. Too hot for an open window, central A/C doesn't work and fixing it isn't an option right now, windows won't work with a window unit.
Any kind of portable A/C unit seems to either be ineffective or require setting up some hoses to the outside to vent air.
Refrigerators (small ones at least) only need electricity to run. So why are there no portable A/C units that only need power?
