Many people are not aware that the doors on many appliances are reversible.
Take a look at the door on your fridge/dryer/microwave, etc: if you would be better suited by it swinging the other way, it probably can. Take a look to see if there are mount holes already drilled. In most cases it is a simple matter of removing some screws, flipping the door "upside-down" and re-mounting the door with the hinges on the other side. Also make sure you relocate any other mounting hardware like latches.
