I wanna get a minimal power setup in the van, '89 Chevy G20. Im thinking about a 100ah AGM battery connected to the alternator to charge when running. This will power light, cell phone and laptop recharges, stereo, and other random things. Maybe getting a 100 Watt panel kit to top off later, depending on power needs and if really necessary. I want my setup to be expandable in case more power is needed. This is not for living, this is for 2-5 night outings. My cooler and ice has worked well so far, so dont see a need for a refrigerator.
Do you folks think thats a doable setup? How much $$$ do you think I can get this together for? Does anyone know any better alternatives: Goal Zero, Generator, ...etc.?
Please offer any knowledge you can.
