M/27/5'7/168lbs/Caucasian-Hispanic/been dealing with it for 2-3 months.
I'm not sure if this is the right sub but I'm not sure who else to ask. I've been trying to lose weight for past year and its been going slowly but surely. I work a pretty active job, I walk for at least 8 hours a day, I walk up stairs a lot and usually I'm carrying any where from 15 lbs to full size refrigerators, which is why I'm so confused. I wanted to start jogging, so a few months ago I did just that and it ended in me getting tendonitis in my left ankle. It took about a month to heal, I figured it was a fluke and once it felt better, I tried running again. My left ankle was fine but this time but I got tendonitis in my other ankle. This time it took about 2 months to heal and of course, once it did I tried running again and boom! the tendonitis came back, except it's now its the same ankle, different tendon. Why is this happening? I do calve raises frequently, I snowboard 50+ days a year (haven't been this year yet and now I'm scared too) and i skateboard. The first 2 times I got it, it was the same tendon but in different ankles and now its a completely different tendon, then the one I previously hurt. Could I be deficient in some mineral or vitamin? I just don't know what to do, I do stretches everyday, ankles included and occasionally I even jump rope. I never run but I walk all day and you'd think snowboarding would strengthen them, especially since I'm jumping on to rails and hitting big Park jumps. I hate knowing if I run, I'm not going to be able to walk for a month, I hate feeling limited like this and its driving me crazy. Can any one with experience and some light on causes or how you dealt with this?
