[gainit] Some tips you may not have heard before gainit

Here are some things that have helped me that I haven't seen posted here. Lots and lots of broscience but it's what works for me.

TL;DR in bold font.

When you're drinking, you're eating. This is something said in reference to tapas bars, but no matter where you are, this is incredibly effective in bulking. If you're going to be drinking alcohol anyways, get some food to go with it. It's a fact that food tastes better when you're drunk and you can eat more too. If I know I'm going to be drinking later, I might pickup some burgers or bring sandwiches and leave them in my car to grab later. The only downside to this is that if it's the end of the night and people see you in a dark corner wolfing down burgers, they're gonna expect you to share.

I also use this method when I'm not drinking alcohol. I'll purposely eat food that is too spicy with a big glass of milk to wash it down. I eat the same amount of food, but I drink way more milk than I would be able to naturally. Not suggested for people with digestive issues.

Any time you can eat, eat. Your body will get used to feeling full and when you're not full, that's what feels odd. I learned this from observing obese people. These people invented bulking, they're masters of the weight gain. Whenever I leave the house, I bring some kind of protein snack (jar of PB + nuts, protein bar, etc.), just make sure not to leave it in your hot car if it's something that melts.

Make a menu. One of my biggest problems used to be trying to decide what to eat, I would check the refrigerator three times, pacing through the kitchen trying to remember which recipes I know. Now, I make a list of everything I know how to make with the prep time and I have it hanging on the wall. It's so simple, it feels like cheating.

Use a grocery list. Pretty common knowledge but it's worth mentioning. Anytime you get hungry for something or run out of an ingredient, add it to the list.

Watch the food network. Another game changer for me. It doesn't matter what channel or show you watch, just as long as it involves eating. The more you think about food, the hungrier you become.

Make food ahead of time. Even if it's just a peanut butter and jelly sandwich; If you get home late or you're tired, instead of just going to sleep, you're much more likely to eat something if it's already made.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day I've woken up at 4am just to make my Breakfast Scramble with a big pitcher of tea. I go to sleep sometimes with a smile on my face, looking forward to it. It feels amazing when it's still morning and you know that you've already eaten half of your calories for the day.

Ice cream. One serving is like 200 calories, eat it everyday and you'll gain half a pound per week, assuming the rest of your diet remains consistent. It's also helpful in increasing appetite. I rarely do this but desperate times call for desperate measures. Obviously control your daily sugar intake, you don't want the beetus.

Moderation and things to remember. There are no benefits to a dreamer bulk, my rule is that when my ab are no longer visible, it means I've gone too far. Don't forget to get your daily vitamins, it's not difficult when you're eating like a wild animal, yet it's easy to overlook.

FIBER FIBER FIBER. You need it.

Here's a shitty tumblr gif to summarize:
