How do you do your meal prep? gainit

I'm thinking of meal prepping for the week by making 500-700 calorie meals and packing them in tupperware in the fridge. However, I don't know what kinds of foods will be ok in the fridge for about 1 week without spoiling. Is cooked chicken ok in the refrigerator for a week? Any other recommendations on which foods to prep for some high calorie meals that won't spoil in 1 week?

Can anyone recommend me some non-perishable bulking foods? gainit

I have a three-day business trip coming up and I'll be working round the clock with little time to eat and possibly no access to a refrigerator. I want to pack all my foods beforehand in case the venue doesn't have adequate food to purchase.

I'm mainly concerned about hitting protein goals (about 160g) considering how quickly meat goes bad. What would you recommend?

Easy Chicken Jerky gainit

Hey everyone!

This is the newest video from our Youtube channel where me and my brother upload a new easy-to-make, high protein recipe every week. This week we made chicken jerky. We hope you enjoy it, and let us know what you think!

Macros:

• Protein: 107

• Fat: 7

• Carbohydrate: 71

• Kcal: 799

Ingredients:

• Chicken Fillets: 1 lbs (450 gr)

• Sweet Soy Sauce: ¼ cup (60 ml)

• Honey: 2 tbsp (30 ml)

• Garlic Powder: 1 tsp

• Onion Powder: 1 tsp

• Black Pepper: 1 tsp

• Chili Flakes: 1 tsp

Directions:

  1. Put the chicken fillets in the freezer for about 15 minutes, this makes them easier to slice.
  2. Slice the fillets really thin.
  3. Put the slices in a bowl, add the sweet soy sauce and honey. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Cover the bowl and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours (preferably overnight).
  5. Spread the slices over the drying rack of the dehydrator (you can make this in the oven as well, see ‘Variations’).
  6. Sprinkle the garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper and chili flakes over the spread out slices.
  7. Dehydrate on 160°F (70°C), for about 5 hours.

Variations

• If you don’t have a dehydrator, you can make these in the oven as well. Preparation time and temperature remains the same. If you’re using an oven rack, put this high in the oven. Then take the little hooks you use to hang daubles in the Christmas tree. Hang each slice on such a little hook and hang them from the oven rack.

• You can use all kinds of seasoning on these jerky strips. We prefer it if they taste a little spicy, but you can be creative!

If you have any suggestions or fit recipes of your own that you'd like to share, please visit our own subreddit, /r/thefitmeal, where we pick one recipe every week and turn it into a Fit Meal video!

Snacks during the day (no microwave) gainit

Hey /r/gainit I'm looking for a little advice on snacks/meals I can eat during the day. I have read over the FAQ and other threads but could use some other suggestions. Due to my job, I don't have access to a microwave or anyway to heat a meal during the day so meals that need to be heated up won't work. I do however have access to a semi-large refrigerator bag with 4 ice-packs inside of it so I can keep my food cold if needed.

I'm looking to try and get around 1000-1500+ calories in the 8 hour span that I am at work. So far I have been pretty successful with it. I have had snacks like almonds, trail mix, poptarts and sandwiches but they are starting to get bland. Also, if possible I would love for them to be little to no prep in the morning because I am usually up very early and don't have time to spend 20-30 minutes prepping food for the day. If you have any easy, quick ideas I would appreciate it. Thanks guys!

Help with a diet gainit

Hey /r/gainit

So as the title says, I need a help with my diet. My goal for a day is 3000calories, which I achieve quite easily. The problem I'm facing right now is that I'm going away on a camp for one week and I'm afraid it will be a lot harder to achieve the 3000kcal/day. I'd really appreciate if you could recommend me food high in calories(I don't care if it's high in carbs/fat/protein) that could be easily stored(no refrigerator) and can be easily prepared. Thanks:)

[Help] Tips for eating more while bulking? gainit

I've started lifting regularly on a proper 5 day split for a week now, but my diet is still poor. I want to gain muscle mass, so I need to have a calorie surplus. The thing is, I can't eat enough. For months before I started lifting, I got myself to eat very little to lose weight, which worked, I was eating about 1000-1500 calories a day, after a while my appetite declined and I was regularly taking in that amount of food which wasn't much. I'm still pretty much in the same situation, I have a small appetite and I get full with not much food. I'm hitting about 1500 a day, but slowly getting over that. 2000 is getting closer on good days, but I have to eat when I'm not even hungry.

I want to hit at least 2000 calories a day, and even that is too hard for me. I'm not sure exactly how many calories I should be ideally consuming for a proper and efficient bulk, but I'll assume 3000 calories would be better.

The Point

There's no way I can get to 3000 calories right now, the amount of food is just too much for me to eat.

  • What are some tips or advice to get yourself to eat more, especially when you don't have a large appetite or weren't eating much previously?

  • What are some cheap or easy calorie dense foods that gives a lot of calories in a moderate sized meal? What about for things to smack on?

  • For days I go to school, I have no access to things like a refrigerator, microwave, etc., I'm there most of the day, and I don't want to eat out, what are some especially calorie dense foods or drinks to snack on throughout the day that won't go bad if they're not kept a certain temperature or have to be heated?

  • Are there any specific meals or recipes you'd suggest to get calories up? Shakes are welcome too.

P.S I have this weird problem where I can't get myself to eat much, and especially anything sweet at all, in the morning when I'm still groggy. This is mainly an issue on days I go to school since I have to get up early, and for some reason my stomach gets upset if I eat much those mornings, and it stays upset for the rest of the day. Any help to get around this? Can you suggest any calorie dense foods that aren't sweet to help with this situation?

Sorry for the long post and several questions. Any help is appreciated.

Current Diet While Traveling for work | No refrigerator access gainit

Male - 24 - 73" tall - Current Weight 170

If this post violates any of the posting rules I apologize! I am just looking for a little critique.

I travel for work (Climbing and inspecting Cell Phone towers) and stay in hotels at night. I am trying to eat the best I can while not having access to a refrigerator. I workout at gyms located near me an average of 4 times/week and am currently following ICF 5x5

This is my diet and macros

MACROS ———————

Breakfast- Oatmeal/1 serving of protein powder/1 serving of flax/1 serving of sliced almonds/1 serving of fruit

Snack 1 Kidney Beans

Lunch 1 Can of mixed vegetables/1 can of tuna

Snack 2 Refried Beans

Calories from each - 740 Protein Calories | 1396 Carb Calories | 396 Fat Calories

Total Daily Calories = 2532

I am very conditioned to eating the same thing every day and I am planning on following this diet 100% indefinitely. This allows me to not have to eat out 3-4 times per day and save money at the same time.

My goal is to gain strength and size.

Activity level i'd say is lightly to moderately active.

Does this look like a feasible diet to follow?

I really appreciate your feedback!

[Help] I am so frustrated gainit

Hello fellow gainers,

I have been browsing this forum for over a year and I have finally found the time to take my weight gain seriously, but my body is simply working against me. I am 33 years old, 6'2" 145LBS so I pretty much look like Christian Bale playing The Mechanic.

I have dramatically increased my milk intake for the last 2 weeks and now I'm up 5 pounds the problem that I have now is there is a green mucus like discharge coming out of my eyes, I know it's the milk causing this because this is not the fist time that this has happened after increasing my dairy intake.

Also, yesterday I was super motivated by the peanut butter thread that I saw posted here about putting it in the refrigerator and taking it in by the spoonful. I did that andabout 2 hours after I fell asleep I was awoken by a severely hurt stomach and I had to run to the bathroom to puke.

I guess I'm just at a loss, how the heck can I gain weight if I can't eat the essential foods/drinks that would help me do so?

[gainit] Some tips you may not have heard before gainit

Here are some things that have helped me that I haven't seen posted here. Lots and lots of broscience but it's what works for me.

TL;DR in bold font.

When you're drinking, you're eating. This is something said in reference to tapas bars, but no matter where you are, this is incredibly effective in bulking. If you're going to be drinking alcohol anyways, get some food to go with it. It's a fact that food tastes better when you're drunk and you can eat more too. If I know I'm going to be drinking later, I might pickup some burgers or bring sandwiches and leave them in my car to grab later. The only downside to this is that if it's the end of the night and people see you in a dark corner wolfing down burgers, they're gonna expect you to share.

I also use this method when I'm not drinking alcohol. I'll purposely eat food that is too spicy with a big glass of milk to wash it down. I eat the same amount of food, but I drink way more milk than I would be able to naturally. Not suggested for people with digestive issues.

Any time you can eat, eat. Your body will get used to feeling full and when you're not full, that's what feels odd. I learned this from observing obese people. These people invented bulking, they're masters of the weight gain. Whenever I leave the house, I bring some kind of protein snack (jar of PB + nuts, protein bar, etc.), just make sure not to leave it in your hot car if it's something that melts.

Make a menu. One of my biggest problems used to be trying to decide what to eat, I would check the refrigerator three times, pacing through the kitchen trying to remember which recipes I know. Now, I make a list of everything I know how to make with the prep time and I have it hanging on the wall. It's so simple, it feels like cheating.

Use a grocery list. Pretty common knowledge but it's worth mentioning. Anytime you get hungry for something or run out of an ingredient, add it to the list.

Watch the food network. Another game changer for me. It doesn't matter what channel or show you watch, just as long as it involves eating. The more you think about food, the hungrier you become.

Make food ahead of time. Even if it's just a peanut butter and jelly sandwich; If you get home late or you're tired, instead of just going to sleep, you're much more likely to eat something if it's already made.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day I've woken up at 4am just to make my Breakfast Scramble with a big pitcher of tea. I go to sleep sometimes with a smile on my face, looking forward to it. It feels amazing when it's still morning and you know that you've already eaten half of your calories for the day.

Ice cream. One serving is like 200 calories, eat it everyday and you'll gain half a pound per week, assuming the rest of your diet remains consistent. It's also helpful in increasing appetite. I rarely do this but desperate times call for desperate measures. Obviously control your daily sugar intake, you don't want the beetus.

Moderation and things to remember. There are no benefits to a dreamer bulk, my rule is that when my ab are no longer visible, it means I've gone too far. Don't forget to get your daily vitamins, it's not difficult when you're eating like a wild animal, yet it's easy to overlook.

FIBER FIBER FIBER. You need it.

Here's a shitty tumblr gif to summarize:

Storing homemade mass gainer[Food] gainit

I would like to myself a PWO mass gainer from milk, peanut butter, oats, banana and whey protein powder. I would consume them ideally after workout.

I want to know how long after blending would it be still OK to consume(aka not go sour, go bad, proten denatures etc)? I prepare it in the morning. I have a refrigerator at disposal where I work, so I can store it in there all day.

NS: I workout at around 4 in the evening and only reach home at around 9. So making it once I reach home is not an option.

[Help] No refrigerator, going portable. gainit

I am currently out of an apartment, but still studying at university. What this means is that I need to streamline my meals and make them easy for me to eat on the go and still (hopefully) build proper meals. Both for two reasons, I'm pretty damn broke, and I don't have a refrigerator, or really anything that I took my kitchen for granted for.

I've managed to keep my exercise routine relatively stable and would still like to concentrate on gainz.

Currently I'm surviving on Peanut Butter, fast food (I'm already running low on cash.), and the periodic school buffet.

I am carless, so any portable meal type thing would have to fit in my backpack as I'm on campus almost all day.

Thanks for your time, and may your gainz be plentiful.

[Food] Nuts to Eat. gainit

Serving Size: The recommended serving size for nuts is about a handful, or roughly one ounce. This is also all you need to get the energy-boosting and nutritional benefits.

.

Almonds (frequent): 23 to 25 nuts; 160 - 170 calories, 6 grams protein, 14 - 15 grams fat, 3 g fiber

Cashew (frequent): 16 to 18 nuts; 160 - 165 calories, 5 grams protein, 13 grams fat

Pistachios (frequent): 50 nuts; 160 calories, 6 grams protein, 14 grams fat, 3 g fiber

Walnuts (frequent): 14 halves contain 185 calories; 4 grams protein, 18.5 grams fat, 2 g fiber

Peanuts (frequent): about 28 un-shelled nuts contain about 170 calories, 7 grams protein, 14 grams fat

Brazil nuts (moderate): 6 nuts contain 186 calories; 4 grams protein, 19 grams fat, 2 g fiber

Macadamia nuts (moderate): 10 to 12 nuts; 200 calories, 2 grams protein, 21 or 22 grams fat

Pecans (limited): 18 to 20 halves; 200 calories, 3 grams protein, 21 grams fat, 3 g fiber

.

Best ways to eat nuts: Pair them with healthy carbs

Health Tips:

  • Since most packaged nuts have excessive amounts of sodium -- an ounce of mixed nuts from a jar or tin can hit you with 8 percent of your recommended daily sodium intake -- look for unsalted or lightly salted varieties. To avoid sodium, stick to plain, raw, or shelled nuts. Roasted nuts usually have more antioxidants than regular nuts, but opt for dry-roasted nuts over oil-roasted to avoid unhealthy fats found in oils like soy and corn.

  • Keep in mind that healthiest nuts are perishable and easily damaged by heat, air, and light. Do not leave nuts sitting in a hot car. Once home, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator or even the freezer.

How to roast: Most nuts will become more flavorful and crunchier when roasted or toasted. To roast them, simply put the nuts on a sheet pan and put the pan in the oven (almost never above 300 degrees) for a few minutes, or toast them in a skillet, stirring often. For best results, look for nuts that are either raw or only lightly roasted (at temperatures no higher than 160 - 170 degrees Fahrenheit).

.

Sources: I had compiled the information from various websites after basically doing a google search for "healthy nuts", so do your own research to verify.

incredibly useful way to have quick and easy 3-course meals (in 10 minutes or less) gainit

Have a section of your freezer dedicated for meal sized bags of meat. Each of these bags should have the amount of meat that you would expect to eat with a three course meal (it may be useful to have two slightly different sizes for lunch and dinner). Some of the bags I prepare the most often are either Chicken, Steak, Pork, Lamb, or Sausage.

For all of these types of meat (except sausage), cooking and eating them without adding a rub or marinade will make them much less appetizing to most of us. But adding marinade and a rub to meat can be a lengthy process within itself. This is why I recommend buying a bulk quantity of any particular meat when it is on sale, marinating and rubbing all of the meat together while stacked on a large cutting board (or preferably a baking sheet), and then bagging and freezing the bags of meat. While it can be fun to initially experiment with rubs and marinades, I recommend buying pre-made rubs from your grocery store (or even online) for guaranteed taste.

The day before you would cook your meal, just reach into your freezer and pull out the bag of meat you want in or on the side of your meal. Refrigerate it overnight, and the slow-thawing will further tenderize your future meat meal.

Here are some easy sides to go with your meat:

carbos:

  • RICE (easiest with rice cooker, very easy with stove top)

  • InstaRICE (store bought pre-made rice sides, ex. brocolli and cheese)

  • Fried Orzo (boil 2/3 cup orzo in 2 cup water until orzo is cooked, drain water, pan fry food processed carrots and 1/2 cup chicken broth in frying pan (with oil) for 1 minute, and add orzo and fry for another 2 minutes)

  • Grits (easy in microwave, better on stovetop, delicious with extra butter and a little bit of cheese)

  • Insta Mashed Potatoes (very easy to make)

Greens:

  • Broccoli (raw or boiled in pot for 1 min)

  • Collard Greens (cheap and nutritious, like broccoli)

  • Green Beans (these have a very short refrigerator shelf life, I suggest bagging them like the meat into meal size proportions and freezing unused bags)

  • Carrots (food processed carrots can also make carbo dishes (like orzo) much better, if bulk food-processing a lot of carrots, you can also freeze bags for future meals).

[Progress] 1.5 Year Progress, 178lbs -> 180lbs gainit

Hey gainit,

You may remember me from my previous thread I posted a little over a year ago.

Well I'm back with an update and some tips for you guys that I wish I would've known about before I started this bulk/cut (I will explain later). The first part of this post will be just going over my first bulk which will not include a meal plan, a workout routine, or any lifting numbers (I'll post those for my current bulk in the second part of the thread).

I'm sure there have been similar threads posted before and you're probably wondering why it took me a year to gain around 2lbs, but I actually went through a total body transformation (in my opinion, anyway) as you can see here

Information:

Male/23/6'1''

After my previous thread, I just kind of slumped off on my gaining and just sort of idled at around ~178lbs and ate whatever I wanted to, so I gained a bit of fat. I realized that I wasn't where I wanted to be with my body and decided to do something about it. I started just eating everything. At this point I was dead set on getting as big as possible without worrying about calories or macros (terrible idea, don't ever do that).

From November 2013 to March 1 2014, I gained almost 30lbs, bring me to a whopping 207lbs.

Here's a front pic of me at 200lb+, wasn't too sure of my exact weight.

I thought I was massive (in the good way, I didn't once think I was getting too fat). I felt great. I wasn't following a meal plan, I wasn't following a workout routine. I wasn't training for strength (I should have been, but I didn't know any better at the time).

Then the realization hit my that I gained way too much weight. I had almost a 40" waist. I couldn't really see my dick when I looked down. I remember doing seated cable rows and my gut just falling into my lap. The realization that I needed to stop cultivating mass and start harvesting came to me whenever I was just stuffing my fat face with a bag of reese's cups.

I weighed myself a final time and I clocked in at 207lbs.

Starting March 1st, 2014, I decided to cut with Dave Palumbo's Keto diet.

This is when I started actually watching what I was eating, but I wasn't 100% on point with the diet. I wasn't weighing the food (I didn't have a food scale) and I was just following the recommended food for the different weight groups. I still wasn't counting any calories.

With this diet, I dropped around 17lbs within the first month (a mixture of water weight, not enough calories + cardio). The reason I was doing cardio initially is because I dislocated my shoulder on the hack squat machine, so I wasn't able to lift. I didn't want to stay out of the gym so I did LISS (Low Intensity Steady State) cardio on the stationary bike for 30 minutes every morning. I honestly felt like I lost some muscle mass during this period due to not tracking macros and calories possible, but that's probably me being paranoid because I ended up EXTREMELY small once my cut was over.

I mainly focused on staying in a calorie deficit and not relying on cardio during my cut, so I rarely did any cardio. Here are a few progress photos of my 3 month cut (I apologize for the smaller pictures. I will update once I find the originals):

March 21st - 184.8lbs:

Side

Front

April 20th - 171.6lbs:

one

two

May 24th (around the end of my cut) - ~163lbs:

Flexed

Quads

I maintained this weight for the summer with a mixture of carb cycling and intermittent fasting. I'll answer any questions you have about the first part of this thread if you have any, but right now I'll be going into my current bulk (including my diet, routines, and lifting numbers).

So here is my base that I started at August @ ~160lbs:

one

two

three

I started my bulk with the idea of lean gaining, where I would only gain 1/2 a pound a week. I would have high fat/low carbs days on my rest days, and then high carbs/low fat on my workout days. I calculated my macros with the handy website 1percentedge.

Here are my macros

Here are my rest/workout day meal plans:

Rest Day Workout Day

With the above diet, I decided to seriously start strength training for the first time in my lifting career. My routine included two workouts that I would rotate back in forth.

"A" workout:

  • Squat: 3 sets x 5 reps

  • Bench: 3 x 5

  • Chin Ups: 20 reps

  • Bent Over Barbell Rows: 3 x 5

  • Barbell Curl: 3 x 8

  • Rear Delt Fly: 3 x 8

"B" workout:

  • Front squat 3 x 5

  • Military Press 3 x 5

  • Deadlifts 1 x 5

  • Dips: 20 reps

  • Close Grip Bench Press: 3 x 8

My weekly gym days went as followed:

  • Sunday: Rest Day

  • Monday: A workout

  • Tuesday: B workout

  • Wednesday: Rest Day

  • Thursday: A workout

  • Friday: B workout

  • Saturday: Rest Day

Here are the supplements I was on

  • Beast Creature Creatine Monohydrate - 5g every day

  • GNC Multivitamin Pack - Something I've had lying around the house, I won't go out and buy them again after I run out.

  • Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard Whey Protein Extreme Milk Chocolate - 2 scoops a day

  • C4/White Flood - Pre workouts

  • Hemavol/White Pump/Nitrix 2.0 - N.O. boosters (I'm all about vascularity)

As you can see, I gained 20lbs since August (6 months total). You'll also notice that the weight gain is a bit more than .5lbs a week. The reason behind this is that I wasn't seeing the results I wanted, so I upped my calories (in November) to where I would gain 1lb a week. I did this using the If It Fits Your Macros calculator. From here, I found my calories needed for a 1lb gain a week (~3000-3100 calories), as well as my macros. I set the protein to 1.5g per lb of body weight, that way if I didn't quite reach my protein for a certain day, I know that I've taken in more than enough the previous days.

At this point I started following Layne Norton's PHAT routine again I started weighing myself once a week (Monday mornings when I wake up and after I use the bathroom). and doing body measurements every month (at the same time that I would weigh myself).

My diet usually includes:

(pre workout meal) 1 cup oatmeal, 50g protein granola. 1 scoop protein shake

(post workout meal)1 cup greek yogurt with 2 scoops protein powder

(lunch) 6oz of chicken (weighed before cooking), 1 cup brown rice with 1 cup steamed broccoli.

(dinner) 6oz of chicken (weighed before cooking), 1 cup brown rice with 1 cup steamed broccoli

(dinner 2) 4 omega 3 eggs, 28g shredded cheddar cheese, 2 slices whole wheat bread with 32g peanut butter

(shake before bed) 165g Optimum Nutrition Pro Complex Gainer - Double Chocolate with 2 cups of whole milk

I always mix it up some, like if I want a burger for lunch, I'll measure out the weight and put it into myfitnesspal. If I do decide to mix it up, I usually calculate the rest of my meals for the day at that time, trying to come as close as possible to my macros to make sure I don't overeat. I'm currently taking in 3090 calories a day, ~350g carbs, ~250g protein, and ~70g fat.

Here are a few of my progress photos over the last few months (I seemed to have misplaced my papers that had my measurements on them, I will update once I find them):

August

September ~165lbs

November 1 ~169lbs November 2

January 1 ~175lbs January 2

Here are my strength gains:

Deadlift375lb430lb

Military Press125lb150lb

My bench + squat + deadlift put me over 1000lbs and I'm incredibly happy about that, since that has been a goal of mine ever since I started lifting 3 years ago. My bench has always been my weakest lift and you can tell my how underdeveloped my chest it to the rest of my body, but I'm happy to be making progress.

Here I am currently, at 180.8lbs (measured on Monday).

Here is a picture of my back (apologies for the blurriness)

Here is a .gif of my quads (one of my main focuses while I continue my gaining)

and I've noticed a huge increase in my vascularity as well

Since I am pretty happy where my strength is at, I have decided to switch to a 5 day mass gaining workout. I made the switch a little under two weeks ago, so I can't comment on how effective the routine is, but I am definitely enjoying it. I will be mainly focusing on my chest and leg development, since I feel they are still underdeveloped. I will also be working on my arm width, since I feel they are too narrow from the front view, but a good size from my side profile.

To help focus on my quad/glute/hamstring and calf development, I will be squatting barefoot (in socks), with both of heels resting on 10lb plates to make sure I go deep enough with my squats, and deadlifting in socks as well. I will be focusing on my bicep width by doing wide grip barbell curls, hammer curls, and chin ups.

Now, here are a few tips that I wish I knew about whenever I first began lifting.

  • Invest in a good electronic food scale. This is the one I use

  • Invest in a George Foreman Grill The one I own

  • Invest in a rice steamer. Mine

  • Get yourself a big set of tupperware. Bulk cook all of your food on one day. I usually do my cooking on Sundays. I weigh out my chicken (raw, not cooked), and throw them on the grill with a little seasoning (I like to use Lemon Pepper or Kickin' Chicken seasonings that you can find at walmart). Steam your rice (brown rice usually takes longer than white rice) and then towards the end of your rice being cooked, throw in a bad of steamed broccoli in your microwave. You can portion out your chicken, rice, and broccoli into separate tupperware containers and throw them in the refrigerator. Whenever it's time to eat, pour a little water into your container and then microwave it! IF you feel like the chicken is too dry towards the end of the week, you can also portion out your chicken into individual ziploc bags (add your seasonings as well) and freeze them. Always leave one in the fridge, so if you take one out for the day, replace it so it's thawed for the next day!

  • Drink around a gallon or more a day. I notice that the more hydrated I am, the better I feel and the more energy I have. During the summer time, I usually up my water intake to 2 gallons a day. I go to walmart and buy the $1 gallons of water and carry that around with me. I throw in two scoops of BCAA's into my water and that pretty much guarantees that I'll drink over a gallon, since it tastes so good.

Here's a MAJOR tip that I wish I would've known about:

  • Actually count your calories while you're gaining. Don't just eat whatever, see that the scale is increasing in numbers, and assume you're good. Find your recommended calories and macros (in the iifym calculator I posted above) and use a food tracker such as myfitnesspal to make sure you're hitting your macros and staying around your calories. This'll prevent you from gaining waaaay too much fat and that will in turn make your cuts longer.

I plan on gaining another 5lbs by April, where I will probably cut again for summer. I say probably because as of right now, I am torn between cutting and continuing my gaining. I feel like I am lean enough now that a cut wouldn't be beneficial, but I'm not sure. Do you guys have any opinions?

I will go ahead and post a list of music that I listen to in the gym, since that seemed to have been a pretty big hit with my last thread.

I apologize for how long this post is. I also apologize if it's unorganized. I found myself typing and then remembering something, so I would just stick in in there. If you're confused, let me know so I can help clear up any misunderstandings.

If you've managed to make it this far, then congrats. I am sure that I'm missing a ton of information, so if you have any questions or have suggestions for what I should add to this post, please let me know. I want to answer any questions that will help you succeed, since that is what I wanted whenever I first started out.

Cramped space in my apartment: what should I buy? gainit

I have been taking accutane and decided since iylt was making my joints and back stiff/sore, I should not lift while I was on it. I am coming down to the end of my treatment soon so I will be able to start lifting once more.

When I stopped my lifts were pretty low after 3 months because I was doing the All Pro beginner program. Do you recommend that I do a strength program to start out with?

Also I get around $300 a month for food. I figured this would be enough money but the problem is that there are 6 people in my apartment and only 1 refrigerator. I have a mini fridge also but it makes buying in bolk pretty hard. I could maybe but egg whites in cartons and also eggs and put them in my mini fridge but besides that, we are very limited on space. We have a pantry but that I also a mess and cluttered. I could maybe fit a gallon of milk in my mini also but im not sure. What are some foods that would be good to buy that are quick to make and would take up little space? I have a George Foreman grill and a crock pot also along with out stove and microwave. I also want to leave some money for buying protein and stuff.
