Monitor turns on and off techsupport

Hi,

Last week I bought an AVR because my monitor turns off and on at the same time our refrigerator restart (?). I was hoping that it will solve the problem, sadly it didn't. Now when the refrigerator does it thing, either of following happens: * AVR clicks - monitor's good. * AVR clicks - monitor turns off and on. * AVR clicks - a line displays in the monitor for less than a second. Is my PC/Monitor safe with the AVR?

Setup: Main outlet > extension cord with surge protection > AVR > PC
