Constant overreactions raisedbynarcissists

Nothing big but I woke up about an hour ago and decided to make a sandwich for lunch.

My mom came home while I was in the middle of eating it and said "What?! So you didn't toast the bread? How could you even EAT it like that? Why are you so lazy?" Well, news flash...but maybe I just didn't feel like toasting the bread and I actually even like when the bread isn't toasted, because I'm a different fucking person with different fucking tastes? Like this is such a trivial thing and she still has to assert some bullshit "MY way is better than YOUR way". If you like it toasted, then toast the damn bread by all means but stop thinking everyone thinks the same way you do and likes the same things you do!

Anyway, seeing me do something not her way put her in a sort of bad mood and when she realized the refrigerator door wasn't closed, she started freaking out like this it was a regular occurrence with me (it's not, I can probably count on one hand in all my years of living that I've forgotten to close that door), things like Oh my GOD! EVERYTHING in the refrigerator is SPOILED, do you KNOW how to close the refrigerator door? On one hand, I know how annoying it is when someone leaves the refrigerator door open, but on the other hand, you don't need to react like that. I didn't leave it open on purpose to piss you off. You don't need to pitch a fit at me about it because honestly--what can I do now except close the door now and be more careful in the future?
