Recently I moved from CT to IL. In Ct I had state insurance for my child.I didn't realize that when you move from state to state your insurance stops working. I've applied for Illinois State insurance over 2 months ago and still haven't received any benefits. Ive been to the states office four times in the past month trying to get insurance 8/30, 9/6, 9/27 and today 10/11 still i have no insurance. I just received a letter in the mail from my 6yr Olds school saying if he didn't have a physical by Oct.15 they will be removing my child. He will not be aloud to attend school until he gets a physical, eye exam and dentist appointment. Is this legal? It's not like I'm refusing to send my child to the doctors. I'm trying, I just can't afford to pay the fee. I work 60 hours a week to make sure we have a roof over our heads and food in the refrigerator. The doctor refuses to see my child until I pay the co-pay. I know in the ER they can't refuse to see you if you don't have insurance. Please is there anything I can do?
