Yeast Starter Cold Crashing Homebrewing

So I'm making my first yeast starter for brew day this upcoming Sunday. If I cold crash the starter Friday evening into Sunday morning is that ok? Are there any negative effects from keeping it in my refrigerator for that long as long as it's covered with the sanitized tin foil?
