There Is Something Wrong With My Cat (Update) nosleep

PART 1

I know I left you guys off in a crazy place last night and I honestly didn’t know if I would be alive and able to come back to update you guys on what happened. Luckily I still have my life, but things have only gotten crazier. I am going to go ahead and pick up where I left off last night.

There I was all alone and scared in the bathroom. I was almost certain that I had only a few minutes left in this life and I had already started to accept that realization. Finally, alone with my thoughts, something hit me. I am not going out this easy. I am not going to be a sitting duck for some fucked up creature that has invaded my house!

At that moment I started looking around the bathroom for anything that I could use as a weapon. I don’t know how much damage I could do with some spare towels and a plunger, but I figure the plunger could at least be used to distance myself from that thing, even if it is just by a few feet. Hell, the way I was feeling at the time with the adrenaline pumping through my veins, I may have even been able to jab the plunger all the way through that animal, at least that is how I felt.

I stood there for a good minute with my hand on the doorknob preparing myself for what I was about to face on the other side of that door. I could feel my pulse pounding through my body like deep bass pumping through club speakers. Finally, I threw the door open and bolted out screaming. Much to my surprise I was all alone in the hallway. Deep down I could feel the presence of something else, but visually I was alone. I could see scratches all the way down the backside of the bathroom door and blood drops all along the carpet. I worked my way slowly through the house trying not to bring any attention to myself just in case that thing was still inside somewhere. As I turned each corner I could feel my bravery slowly slipping away and the fear taking back over. Halfway down the hall I started to hear something making some kind of vibrating noise right by my side, I froze still as a statue. My heart instantly dropped and I just knew that I had been spotted. After standing still for a minute I finally realized that my entire body was shaking from head to toe… It was ME, I was the one making the noise from shaking so hard with fear.

I finished checking around the house to make sure everything was clear and tried to gather my thoughts. What the hell was I going to do? My first thought was to call the police, but it didn’t take me long to decide that was a terrible idea. I have seen far too many stories and I knew how that would end. I would call them, give them some crazy story about a mutant creature breaking in to my house and the only evidence they would find would be blood stains all over the house, a butcher knife full of MY finger prints and a missing husband. I would be booked before I even got to finish speaking to them.

I spent the next few minutes walking around the entire house and closing up every door and window and locking them to make sure that nothing was getting back in here.

Suddenly I remembered my poor cat Molly was still in that back room, I needed to go check on her! She had been severely hurt and I knew she needed immediate attention. I could only pray that I wasn’t too late. I rushed back to the back of the house to where I had last seen her, but much to my dismay, she was gone. That’s when I heard it again, sending chills down my spine and deep into my bones, it was a deep and heavy breathing coming from just outside of the closet. I stood there as quite as possible. It felt like I was breathing loud enough to wake the dead. I remembered my husband kept his gun in the top of this closet. How dumb that I hadn’t thought of this sooner! I very slowly and quietly reached to the top of the closet trying very hard not to draw any attention to myself. As I was reaching I could hear the breathing getting closer and closer. The sounds were so familiar, but so different at the same time. It wasn’t same the same as the sounds the creature had been making before. As I heard it making its way around the edge of the door I frantically felt around for the gun. At this point I had started to panic and was frantically grasping at everything I could touch.

I never thought that the feeling of cold metal to my finger tips could feel so relieving. I grabbed the gun and twisted around just as the beast came around the corner. It slammed into me taking my breath and knocking the gun from my hand. I quickly rolled over on my back and planted a firm flat footed kick straight to its face and knocked it back for a moment. The creature instantly pounced back with a quickness that I had never seen in my life. I was fighting with everything I had left in my body and I was in full survival mode. All of the clothes had begun falling from the racks and landing on top of me and I was having a hard time even seeing what was going on. I felt the hard, hot piercing feeling of teeth digging into the back of my leg. I let out a huge scream and tried to pull away. I fell over to the side and saw the glimmer of the gun right underneath me. It was like a tiny piece of heaven on earth that fit perfectly into the palm of my hand. I quickly grabbed the gun firing off two shots straight at the gruesome animal in a last attempt to preserve my own life. I instantly heard a scream of pain from the creature, but the scream it let out was even more terrifying. This wasn’t the yell of an animal, no, not at all, this was the scream of a man. When I finally steadied my vision and got a good look at it I realized this wasn’t just any man.. It was my husband! Well, he looked like my husband, but at the same time he was very different. He was larger, much larger, and the way he moved was so surreal. His hair was at least 4 inches longer than it was earlier that day and he smelled like rotting meat.

He let out another scream and turned around and took off in the other direction. I don’t know what I was thinking, but I jumped up and took off after him as quickly as I possibly could with my hurt leg. He moved through the house so quick, it was unreal. By the time I had gotten back to the front of the house he was gone. The door was still shut and locked so I knew he couldn’t have gone outside, so where could he be? That’s when it hit me, the Pantry! That hole in the back of the pantry is the only way in and out of this house other than the front and back door. I rushed into the kitchen and peered into the pantry. I could tell the hole had at least doubled in size from earlier and this was for sure where he had gone as I could see fresh blood and pieces of clothing from the closet in the entrance to the hole. I quickly closed the pantry door and slid the refrigerator in front of it.

I know I have lost my mind and you guys are going to tell me this is the worse plan ever, but I HAVE to go in there! My husband is still alive and there might be a chance that I could help him. I know the chances are low, but low chances are better than no chances. I have to sit down and make a game plan and be prepared for the worse. At this point I have nothing to lose. I need all the help and advice that I can get before I make this plunge and heading into this dark tunnel that I have no idea how deep it is or where it even goes. What the hell could this be? Some kind of infection? I just don’t know anymore, all I know is I can still hear the subtle scraping around in my walls and under the house every few minutes and from the sounds of it there is more than one creature.
