(Before you read this, I want you to know that this was inspired by a series of dreams I had when I was little. There were at least four dreams I can remember with this monster in them. Most of the time it just stood there, at the end of my bed, staring at me.) I was watching the season finale of The Walking Dead, when suddenly, BAM the screen goes black. Not only did the screen go off, but the lights did to. Great, just my shitty luck. I look outside my window from my fifth floor apartment. The whole freakin’ New York City seemed as if it went out too. I went to the now rapidly thawing refrigerator, and pulled out a drink, popped the lid, took a swig, lied/ fell on the couch and went to sleep. I woke up around three O’clock-ish I guessed, and checked the lights. Nope, still dead. I looked out the glass door to the balcony. I walked back to the couch and tried to go to sleep. Suddenly my TV screen started making static noise, layered with indecipherable speaking. “What the…” I mumbled to myself. My hand shot for the remote, I tried to turn the TV off, but it stayed on. I glanced out the window at the almost jet black ground. A small black figure caught my eye, I it's torso was thin, chest wide, the arms were like giant excavators. It was darting around the yard, when it looked at me, I saw it's face, or lack thereof. It had no eyes, no nose, just gleaming needles and layers of fangs, it had two small pits in either side of its head, probably ears. It was at least five and a half feet tall when it stood upright. It had arms like tigers, it's claws were at least a foot long. The most unsettling thing about it was that it seemed to act like it had eyes. It's flesh above where the eyes should have been seemed to look as if they were glaring at me. The mouth opened, but no sound came, it suddenly seemed like blood was dripping like drool down from its mouth. I ran to the door to lock it, I turned the deadbolt as hard as I could, frantically looked around for more protection. I rammed my desk into the wall in front of the door. I collapsed to the floor with exhaustion and relief. A loud clattering ruckus of metal erupted. Oh shit! I forgot about the back door! I darted under the desk behind the chair just before it came around the corner. It looked around the room, opened its mouth as more blood gushed out, it sizzled like it was boiling against the white carpet. The blood started slowly edging its way towards me. The creature jerked its vicious head towards me and lunged.
