So I've been trying this whole keto thing for the past couple of weeks or so, without (much) result. I did all the math (herp) from the FAQ to figure out about how much of everything I should be eating, but I'm finding that I really, really cannot keep up with it.
Ex: Today, I ate ~670 calories, ~55g fat, ~15g carbs, and ~25g protein (I use MFP/nutrition labels to keep track). If I did my math correctly, this is not nearly enough of...well, anything. However I feel completely and utterly full, and have all day, to the point where I honestly feel like I could barf if I tried to eat any more.
Because someone will ask: I try to eat strictly keto-friendly or recommended foods: my cupboards and refrigerator are stocked with almond and coconut flour, stevia, coconut oil, butter, meats/cheeses/leafy greens, avocados for daysss. And I really like all the foods I'm eating, but I cannot even get close to the right amount of fats (let alone anything else) before I feel like I just have to stop eating for the day.
I tried to do my research beforehand, but I'm wondering if the lack of food might be hindering my results? Is it NECESSARY to reach your recommended values, or is it fine if you can just stay below them?
Sidenote: I've never been a huge eater (often only once a day) and I have a history of ED (would stop eating for a week or so at a time). That might be influencing why I can't eat as much as I should be able to, but I've done my time in therapy/on meds and I don't feel that it's a big issue for me now - or else I'd be doing that instead of keto.
