So you all have cigarettes story. I’ve got a beer one. I’m sorry English isn’t my first language, first time posting on TFR and blabla… let’s tell this story now !
About 10 years ago I’ve been a retail slave too. I’ve got a lot of story for the year and a half I’ve work in this corner store, but this is the one I’m going to share.
It was in the afternoon. Some young boys (about 16-17) come in group to buy beer at my counter. I’m all alone (My coworker was in the backstore, probably sleeping). They were between 3 and 5 I can’t remember exactly. I politely asking for the ID of the one with the beer but he said he “forgot” it. Well sorry but I can’t sell them beer than.
They got outside, grumpy. I spotted their feet below one of our advertisement sign in the window by my side. Then I remark one of the pair going back in the store. And an Older Man (OM) enters the store and went straight for the beer refrigerator. Same beer, same number and cash in his hand.
Me: I’m sorry sir, but I know you are buying this beer for the boys outside. It’s illegal to buy beer for minor. You and me can get fined a lot, even do jail time (Yeah I know it’s only a fine but it still get people scared to hear the word “Jail”). I can’t sell you this beer I’m sorry.
OM: yeah…so… have a good day.
Not on my watch!!
TL:DR boys try to get an old man to buy them beer. See them talk to him. I don’t let him have the beer. The end.
