Im designing my solar system and am having some trouble designing the battery bank. What i have planned is:
- One 320W 24V solar panel
- Renogy Tracer 40A MPPT charge controller
- 4 x 102AH 12V AGM batteries
Would it be better to have all 4 batteries in series (12V)? Or 2x2 in series-parallel (24V)? The loads attached to the charge controller run at the battery bank voltage, meaning i would need a 24V-12V DC-DC converter to handle various 12V DC appliances. However, i would also be able to use a 24V inverter, which seems to be safer for running large loads .
The refrigerator and lights i'm looking at are 12V DC, but the largest loads (laptop, induction stove, blender) would be from the inverter. Which voltage would you guys recommend?
