I've had several people tell me that they've left vacuum packed steaks in the refrigerator for a month before eating it. They've said it was the best steak they've ever had, but it sounds wildly unsafe to me. I'm not about to try it, but I'm curious as to why these people weren't in the hospital. Have any of you tried something similar?
