So the power went out at 6 pm yesterday, and it usually comes back on within an hour so I wasn't too worried, but then by 9 I started worrying about the chicken I had defrosted in the refrigerator the day before. I only opened the door once to grab a piece of pizza in those 3 hours, and then once 9 came i quickly threw the chicken in the freezer where I had a large ice pack still frozen so I knew it would stay cold. When the power came back on at 2 am the chicken had already begun to partially freeze. Would you say this meat is still good to eat, or do you think there is a chance that it was above 40 degrees for too long?
