I work a full time job in PA, in a company with 6 employees. My boss refuses to get a microwave because he doesn't want the office to smell. Our kitchen is about 10'x10', and has a sink and refrigerator but that's it. There is no place to sit and eat in the kitchen, and we aren't allowed to eat at our desks if the food is "smelly." So unless we go out and buy food every day (which we are not paid nearly enough to do) we are basically limited to eating cold bland food all day every day. This is a huge problem for me because I meal prep every Sunday and would really like to heat up my food for lunch. So my question is: does this violate the OSHA laws in regards to Dining Facilities? In a preliminary search it looks like it does, but I was hoping to get some advice from someone who knows more what they are talking about than I do. One last note: This upcoming Friday is my last day; I got a better job (and they have a microwave!), so I am really asking so that I can help out the employees that still work here.
