I just bought a new fridge and it comes with a stainless steel hose for the ice maker. The steel hose fits the fridge (naturally) but it doesn't connect to the water line in my home. However, I found that I can actually connect the water line directly to the fridge (skipping the steel hose). My question is... is that a good idea? If not, what kind of adapter do I need?
