I’m currently staying in an Airbnb for an extended stay (3 months) and due to the recent weather, we’ve been without power now for over 24 hours. I’m a little confused as what to do in this situation. We have no way to stay warm, everything in the refrigerator is spoiled, and I can’t shower for work. Being a hurricane-prone area, most of the neighbors have generators but our host does not.
I guess what question is, what’s appropriate to ask for? A partial refund? Damages? Cost to cover a hotel? Supposedly the power should come on sometime tomorrow but in the meantime I’m pretty miserable.
