I find a large pottery/ceramic bowl is better for dough making than the polycarbonate/plastic ones recommended in FSWY. Breadit

Mostly, it's just heavier so it stays in place when you're folding but also the sides are thicker so more insulation and it's easier to fit in your refrigerator plus multipurpose.
