My 3 year old cat has a hole in his chest. He likes to jump on top of the refrigerator, and that's when my mother first noticed it. It's a small, maybe quarter inch wide hole, where the skin is just gone, and theres an inch wide area surrounding it is bald with no fur.
My dad says it looks like a bullet hole, perhaps a .22, which is plausible because we live in the country with lots of hunting and shooting, except a 22 round would kill him. He seems fine and happy though, he's been eating and drinking like normal. He's meowing and his tail is up and he seems like his regular happy self. Jumping and energetic like normal. My brother says it looks like a botfly hole.
All the vets around us are closed, there are no emergency vets anywhere near us. We are taking him to the vet first thing tomorrow morning. I don't have a picture of it right now but if it's needed I will try and add one.
Please respond, as I am very worried for his well being. I am not looking for an exact diagnosis or anything, but any idea you have of what it might be would be helpful. Thanks.
