WA USA rat problem in rented house making heat non usable. legaladvice

Hello all I am renting a house with my wife and a room mate in WA state. We have lived here for 2 years. On the day we moved in we noted a brick of poisen behind the dryer and we also had to call and have the cord to the refrigerator repaired bexause something had chewed through it. About 3 weeks ago we noticed the smell of death permeating though the house. After a week of searching we determined the smell was coming from the heating vents. We turned off the HVAC system. The smell is bad, and it is noticeable upon entering the house.

The landlord sent a pest control guy 5 days ago. He pulled a dead rat out of the vents, and noted that the vents are full of holes. We have been wasting hundreds of dollars on heat apparently.

Today I called the landlord and she said that the heat is usable since the animal is gone. She also said the house has never had a rat problem before. But it still smells like death, and I'll be wasting money if I turn the heat back on because of the holes. I am also worried about disease from dead animals in vents.

Our lease ends in 2 months, but we haven't turned the heat on in 2 weeks and we want to move out.

Do we have any recourse? All we want is to move out immediately without having to pay to break the lease. Please advise.
