Marinating Ground Turkey? Cooking

I'm making tacos this evening with ground turkey, and was wondering if there would be any benefit (and just as importantly, any harm) in seasoning the meat and storing it back in the refrigerator for a few hours.

Sometimes I feel like the taco seasoning doesn't fully penetrate the meat.

Anyone ever try marinating ground turkey with either dry or liquid seasoning?

Google wasn't any help here. I might try it anyway...
