Hi all, Hoping for some guidance/advice/wisdom. Our 1 year old cat, Batman (a girl... don't ask), has begun walking funny. The course of this has been somewhat unusual.
About 3 weeks ago, my wife noticed a subtle limp. I couldn't see what she was talking about, but after a few days, I saw it. We thought perhaps she had an injured leg.
I brought her to the vet, he looked her over, felt her legs/moved them around... and wasn't concerned. Gave her a shot of a NSAID and sent her home.
This didn't help... and her walking changed thereafter. She started walking with a hunched back (video clip below). We did some research... it turns out arched back walking can be due to referred pain from kidney problems. Back to the vet we went... bloodwork and x-rays. Bloodwork was clean. He originally read the x-rays as suggesting a leg fracture, but the radiologist said it was normal. At any rate, she was on 'cage rest' at the vet for 5 days...
She's been back home for a while and her symptoms seem to wax and wane. Some times she seems to walk fine... others not. When it was at the worst, she wouldn't walk more than a few feet before plopping over. She was a very active cat (we'd come home and find her on the refrigerator), but it the last 3 weeks she has managed to jump up on the couch just once. :-(
She doesn't appear to be in any pain... we've been back and forth to the vet three times now and he doesn't seem concerned or has no idea what's going on...
Here's a short clip of how she walks (She's the black cat in back). You'll see that she has a hunched back and seems to take very short steps.

I should add that my wife things she heard her fall out of the loft... but this is just her interpreting a thump in the middle of the night... can't confirm or deny...
Is it possible that she has a mild back injury? Spinal cord injury? (despite no spine fracture, according to the x-rays)?
Any thoughts are appreciated!
