I have an LG refrigerator with the bottom freezer drawer. The freezer drawer was left open last night (like 4" - wide open basically). I've emptied the freezer and fridge, unplugged and plugged back in, and let it run for a few hours. I put a thermometer in both, and the freezer is reading 24 degrees, and the refrigerator 37 degrees. I have them set at -1/33 respectively.
Do I let it sit longer to see if it gets colder? How long do I wait before I can assume the coils need to be defrosted? Also, if I need to defrost, should I expect water on the floor, or inside the unit?
