Using Wet Hops for Harvest Ale Homebrewing

I recently harvested some hops, but had to leave town for a business trips the day after the harvest. I stored them in a refrigerator in paper bags and wanted to brew with them today (6 days later). After doing some more looking I read some people saying you should use them in 24 - 48 hours if you're not drying them. Do I just pitch them or give them a shot? Don't really want to waste the grain, if it's not going to taste right? If they're still good any idea on the quantity that I should? (I like hoppy beer, but I've not used wet hops in the boil before.)
