Can I replace Japanese miso with fermented sweet bean sauce? AskCulinary

According to Wikipedia, Japanese miso is one of many types of fermented sweet bean sauce. I have in my refrigerator the ingredient, fermented sweet bean sauce.

Can I replace Japanese miso with my sweet bean sauce?

I'm thinking of doing experiments for a Japanese-Taiwanese Zhajiangmian variant ramen, but I only know a bit of making Korean-Taiwanese Jajangmyeon.
