Signed a lease with a private landlord. All terms have been written into lease. About a year ago, LL hires property management. This company has never been in our property or been on our property to our knowledge. It's now the end of our lease and they are asking us to do things at move out we never agreed to do. Items include professional whole house deep clean, carpet clean rugs that are over 20 years old, gutter clean and clean a chimney we never used. We did not agree to these charges in our initial lease. The LL also left personal property here such as a second refrigerator in our basement, ladder, tons of chemicals, doors, windows and tools. Current property management tells us the house needs to be empty or we will be charged. Is this legal? Can we just throw the belongings away? They are not ours and we should not be charged. Thx!
