Question about food safety: can I serve the Easter ham to my toddler? food

So my in-laws are cooking ham for this Easter (I know it's just good Friday but we're doing it today). They left a huge leg of pork to defrost overnight out of the refrigerator. Know, I know this is terrible habit, and I've told them multiple times. Anyways, they're cooking it in the oven right now at 150C and it's gonna be in there for at least 4h.
I am not going to eat it because I'm vegetarian but I am concerned for my daughter. Is it safe and am I overreacting?
