My friend had a great analogy of what it's like to lose weight. loseit

My friend loss nearly 100 lbs. I asked him if he felt different. He said,"yes."

He said when you're overweight, you don't realize the toll it takes on your body until you lose weight.

He said,"it's like...you ever sit in your apartment in silence, it's quite. But then the power goes out and you realize what real silence is. You don't hear the ticking of the clock or the humming of refrigerator or the fan...That's what it's like to be fat and then lose weight. You're lighter, you can move around more, you're more agile, you have more energy, and you're more comfortable. You don't realize the toll the extra weight takes on your body until it's gone."
