Infection or dissolved ho pellets? Homebrewing


This is my first batch ever. It's an American Amber Ale and I followed the recipe to a tee. My only deviation may have been that I used B-Brite as a sanitizer for my equipment on brewday not knowing it was just a cleaner. Before transferring to my 6 gl glass carboy for secondary fermentation I used starsan for sanitizing everything. After the transfer into the secondary I added a quarter oz of hop pellets I had left over from brew day in a zip-lock bag in my refrigerator directly into the beer for dry hopping. Its been a week since transferring to the secondary and I noticed this orange stuff floating on top of my beer http://ift.tt/1GbD9Xs. I can't tell whether its the hops I added or bacterial colonies.
