I bought a fresh, unfrozen turkey on Tuesday (11/25/2014) with a Sell-By date of 12/2/2014. I got it into the fridge as soon as I got home. We are celebrating Thanksgiving late, so we planning on cooking it the Saturday after Thanksgiving (11/30/2014).
One of my friends mentioned that you should only keep an unfrozen, uncooked turkey in the refrigerator for 1-2 days before roasting.
I am seeing disagreement between sources online. Some recommend cooking or freezing within 1-2 days of the Sell-By date (http://ift.tt/1v3d0pe), while others recommend doing so withing 1-2 days of getting the bird home (http://ift.tt/1v3d0pi).
Any thoughts about which one it is?
