Hello Reddit, this is something that I would never in my life expect myself to be doing. As of recent, I have hit a low point in my life. I am a twenty-one year old college student who has recently had to wait over a month for a paycheck (which was only $15) due to being replaced in my old job and having to find a new one, wait for interviews, training, etc., While I did have security money saved up, I had to use that money for both medical expenses (anti-depressant medications) and to fix the engine on my car.
Unfortunately that had caused my bank account to go into the negative and I will not have enough to pay for my rent or for my student loan payments for the month.
I would normally never ask for any assistance as I know there are people who are in much more need than myself, however, I do not know what else I could do at this point. I am beyond stressed with taking eighteen credit hours in school, not being able to see my family during the holidays (I knew earlier that I wouldn't be able to afford a plane ticket to see them, however I did not anticipate additional expenses on top of changing to a job that requires me to work Thanksgiving and Black Friday weekend), getting out of a toxic relationship, as well as trying to help myself with depression.
While normally my next paycheck would go towards both, this paycheck would have to go towards gas for my car (to and from work, and I also volunteer forty-five minutes away) and food (my pantry and refrigerator are currently near empty)...I am in the Kennesaw, GA area and I am more than willing to work in compensation (clean homes, babysit, etc.,).
